Thank you for visiting my page. I am happy to be participating in this worthy fundraising cause.
MDA is Israel's ambulance, blood-services, and disaster-relief organization, serving as emergency medical first responders for the state's 8 million people. MDA is the only organization mandated by the Israeli government to serve in this role, but it's not a government agency, so it relies on people like you for funding. MDA relies on donors to ensure dispatch centers are equipped with the latest communications technology, ambulances are stocked with cutting-edge lifesaving equipment, and paramedics have the most up-to-date training.
I feel a connection with Israel in part because I go to a Jewish summer camp with Israeli staff, and I have grown close with them. One year ago during camp, there was a war in Israel, and some of the staff returned to Israel to serve in the military. People died and got severely wounded when it wasn't their fault. And even in peacetime, there are natural disasters and other events requiring emergency medical care to help save lives. That's why I want to raise money for this organization -- to help provide emergency medical care for civilians and military in Israel. If you raise money for this organization, people in these situations can survive another day. The money we raise will go toward purchasing at least one Red Bag for an emergency medical unit. A Red Bag is filled with supplies like bandages, oxygen masks, syringes, medical equipment, and medicine. They can't get all of the money by themselves, so they depend on us, the fundraisers, to raise enough money for at least one bag. And that one bag can save hundreds of lives. So with your donation, we can save hundreds of lives, maybe more. It just starts with you. Thank you for your support.
